*You can register multiple runners for this event
Under 6 years - Free
Registration required, no suit and no medal will be provided
We ask each runner to try and raise an individual target of £200. You can set up an online fundraising page when you register and we’ll give you lots of help including a fundraising guide full of ideas. Wearing your elephant suit will definitely help you secure donations too!
Any child taking part under the age of 16 years old can take part in the 5k Run, provided they are accompanied throughout the course and whilst at the venue by a responsible and registered guardian at all times. Those aged 16 and over can take part in the 5k, 10k and 15k run.
Your suit will be ready to collect on the day of the Run. Check out the suit sizes available for adults and children here.
Elephant suits will be collected from our ‘Suit Collection’ point on the day of the Run. If you would like to collect your suit early from the DSWT UK office, please contact us.
Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you and cheer you through the finish. Your friends and family can also take part by volunteering. Our Run couldn’t take place without the help of amazing people who give their time to set up the course and get everyone run ready. Register to be a volunteer.
There are no changing facilities at this location so please arrive wearing your running gear ready to slip your costume over the top.
A manned baggage drop-off tent is available to all participants on event day. The Enormous Elephant Run accepts no responsibility for any items left here and participants are responsible for all property they bring to the event.
There is parking available at Heaton Park.
By public transport:
Bus: 56, 59, 64, 64A, 135, 137, 138, 150, 151, 484, 495 all travel to Heaton Park. Please check the Transport for Greater Manchester website for the latest transport information and interactive journey planner.
Metrolink Tram: The nearest metrolink tram station is Heaton Park. Trams run regularly from the City Centre and other destinations. There is a gate into the park directly opposite the station, and once in the park you should keep walking straight ahead ignoring the paths going off to the left and right. At the 'T-junction' turn left and walk up the hill. You will eventually see the hall to your right and the Farm Centre buildings - with the clock tower to your left. It takes 10 - 15 minutes to walk from the Station Gate into the historic core of the park.
