Please be aware parking at our race location is extremely limited! We strongly advise arranging to carpool or rideshare with Uber, Lyft, etc. for easy drop off.
No storage is provided at our race location so we advise participants to only bring items they can carry with them. DSWT accepts no responsibility or liability for any personal belongings at the race.
Whether you choose to wear an elephant suit, a tutu, regular running gear, or whatever your style, we can't wait to dash to the finish line with you in an effort to bring awareness and much needed support to the conservation programs of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Kids and dogs welcome! Participation is limited, so register today and lend your voice (and your feet!) for the future of elephants and wildlife of Africa!
We appreciate all of the contributions runners make to The Enormous Elephant Run: Freestyle. Your registration fee covers the cost of organizing and hosting this year's event, while your fundraising efforts and team building benefits the elephants in our care and those living wild.
Early packet pick up will be available on Friday, March 9th at Fleet Feet from 4pm to 8pm. Their address is: 1516 W. Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506. Packet pick up will open on Race day at 7:45 AM at our event location. Onsite registration available.
Wear your running gear, ellie costume, tutus or whatever you fancy to show your support for elephants! There is no place to change, so please come dressed and ready to go.
The race starts promptly at 9:00 AM. We’ll be setting off in waves with runners first, joggers next and walkers, families, and dog walkers last.
Volunteers are needed! Please contact development@sheldrickwildlifetrust.org if you or someone you know is able to help out on race day.
The run does not have any age restrictions, but it is a 5K, so be mindful that it is a bit of a distance.
Yes, however, we have plenty of people walking and strolling... so no rush. All physical abilities are welcome!

The run is a 5K run/walk around the equestrian trail at Griffith Park. The path is a dirt trail, suitable for jogging and strollers. Download the course map
You can set up a fundraising page quickly and easily here.
Yes! You can take part and register as a virtual runner. Follow the register link, simply click on 'Virtual Run' and you can walk, use the treadmill, run outside, participate in another race or set up your own fundraising page. Wherever you are, show your support and be a part of this exciting event!
